According to officials, the SUV, valued at Rs. 17.6 crore, was registered on September 5, 2025, under the name of Ahmed Waqas, a resident of Gujranwala. The owner also acquired a customized number plate, AWA-089.

This record-breaking amount surpasses the previous high of Rs. 90 lacs, collected in 2023 for the registration of a Range Rover.

The Excise Department further revealed that its Motor Branch in Lahore has already generated over Rs. 5 billion in revenue during the first two months of the current fiscal year, reflecting a robust performance despite a surge in car prices across the country.
