Kohinoor Textile Mills Limited (KTML) has announced a major investment in renewable energy, approving the installation of a 48.36 MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) alongside an additional 9.34 MW solar power plant.

In its official communication to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the Company informed that the new facilities are expected to be commissioned and commence commercial operations during the last month of the second quarter of the financial year 2026-27.

The Company emphasized that this strategic investment reflects KTML’s continued commitment to operational excellence, sustainability, and long-term value creation for stakeholders. The integration of solar energy with advanced battery storage is expected to deliver significant savings in energy costs, enhance efficiency, and strengthen the Company’s competitive position in the textile industry.
